Tasting Notes
From the northern, more clay and pebbly soils in the appellation, the 2023 Costières De Nîmes Héritage is based on 70% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, and 10% Syrah, vinified with 30% whole clusters and aged one year with 25% in French oak. It shows more black fruits, roasted garrigue, pepper, and the meaty nuances that give this a very Côtes du Rhône-like style. Medium to full-bodied, it has a round, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. Drink date: 2025-2032. Score - 91. (jebdunnuck.com, Nov. 11, 2025)
