The 2021 Giró Fierroca from Marina Alta, Alicante, is a complex, perfumed red. It opens with aromas of dried herbs, wilted roses, ba lsamic undertones, garrigue, rosemary and sour cherry. Silky and harmonious on the palate, it delivers fine-grained tannins, gentle juiciness, a subtle chalky texture and poised balance. Clean yet slightly sunlit in style, this expression of Giró - believed to be an ancient form of Garnacha - carries a quiet charm that lingers and invites reflection. Drinking window: 2025-2046.
