This dares to be super-elegant and refined for an appellation that's presumed to give only big and brawny wines, and he who dares wins. The red berry fruit is interwoven with smoke, earth and grilled artichokes. Sleek and medium-bodied, muscular like a marathon runner, but without any hint of the stress that racing a marathon brings with it. I love that untypical silkiness in the finish.
