A dark, shiny ruby red. Quite an opulent bouquet, sweet tobacco, undergrowth, sealing wax, liquorice and stewed plums. Rich and sweet on the palate too, with a structured acidity and firm tannins, plenty of substance, but also harmonious. (Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler,falstaff.com,Aug. 8, 2025)
