Tasting Notes

This iconic wine of the de Montille portfolio has an exquisitely complex aroma of silky mulberry fruit with ­suggestions of earth, smoke, and a savoury, gamey edge. The feel is tannic and dense, with impressive length and the energy to balance the rich flavours and textures. The grapes come from the family's two parcels that total more than 1.5 hectares. In 2022, all the grapes were fermented as whole clusters with a firm extraction and ageing in a cask (30% new). Drinking window: 2025-2050. Score - 94 .
