Tasting Notes
This wine is named for "trinca bolotas" (acorn cracker) pigs. Europe's only surviving grazing pigs (pigs allowed to roam and feed as they will), trinca bolotas play a major role in preserving Alentejo's oak forests and are a celebrated part of the region's gastronomical heritage. This vibrant wine shows red fruit, blackberry, tobacco, dark chocolate and spice, and yes, it pairs with pork ribs.
