Tasting Notes
The ripeness of the vintage is easily evident in this very approachable cabernet franc. The colour is quite deep ruby. The nose is generous and flush with ripe raspberry/blackberry fruit, violets, light tobacco, barrel spice and vanillin. Almost a sense of licorice as well. It is medium-full bodied with modest, soft acidity and 14.3% alcohol warmth. But the fruit is so present that heat is cooled. Tannins are dusty/crusty but not green. The length is excellent. Approachable now and should please through 2030 and perhaps beyond. Tasted February 2026. Score - 92. (David Lawrason, winealign.com) (David Lawrason,winealign.com,July 1, 2024)
