Lastly, the Grand Vin is a heavenly wine that offers a quintessential Latour bouquet of pure crème de cassis, graphite, lead pencil shavings, tobacco, and a liquid rock-like minerality. It shows a touch of the riper, sexy style of the vintage, yet still stays tight and compact on the palate, with full-bodied richness, fine yet building tannins, flawless balance, and a great finish.
