Château Magnol Haut-Médoc 2023

Tasting Notes

Dark red core with purple and ruby hues lead to a bouquet of ripe blackberry and blackcurrant scents, I find a familiar boysenberry scent then earth and stone, some dried herb and roasted green bell-pepper ideas. A building complexity as the wine opens out in glass. A fruity, fleshy and dry wine with a rush of red berry fruit and plum flavours, tobacco and dried herb, earth and wood smoke layers. Firm tannins and a backbone of acidity all fold into the palate nicely leading to a lengthy finish. A totally enjoyable wine with best drinking from 2028 through 2036. Excellent.
