Ripe, fleshy and golden chardonnay for Maison de Bellene's 2023, apropos of the season as a gift to all. So ripe in fact you get the apple notes throughout, from blossom to yellow fruit crunch while freshness is caught at peak. The palate is a bit tighter wound than expected and so another six months should see to this old vines cuvée coming into its own. Drink 2025-2027. Tasted March 2025. (Michael Godel,winealign.com)
