The nose is intense yet balanced, with aromas of coffee, chocolate, soil, tires and hot tar, before a crackle of tart cherry and red plum notes. The mixed berries stay tart but ripe on the palate, with slightly bitter earth tones lifted by the sweet heat of chili pepper on the finish. Best Buy.
