Picked by hand on October 6, macerated for 14 hours and marketed, with a mix irony and provocation, as a Louis Guntrum Grosses Gewächs (Guntrum is not member of the VDP), the 2018 Hipping is pure and fresh on the precise nose that intertwines bright and elegant fruit with notes of crushed stones. Intense and tight on the palate, with iron, salt and a firm mineral and phenolic grip, this is a full-bodied, concentrated and sustainable Riesling from 20-year-old vines.
