Tasting Notes
Villa Wolf traces its winemaking beginnings to 1756, but its modern ascendancy dates to 1996, when the Dr. Loosen estate began overseeing the vineyards. Pfalz is Pinot (a.k.a. Spätburgunder) country, and this one has wonderful acidity, ripe and juicy cherry, earth, smoke, and wood spice. Made for everyday dining, it's a fun, engaging wine that will work with grilled sausages or grilled salmon.
