Tasting Notes

The 2019 Le Carré is a powerful, virile wine. Swaths of tannin enshroud a core of dark ruit, while smoke, tobacco, game, iron and black fruits give the 2019 a distinctly wild, feral quality that is impossible to miss. The 2019 finishes with real drive and tons of pure intensity. The Cabernet Franc is decidedly vivid. The 2019 will likely need a few years in bottle to be at its best, but it sure is impressive today. (Antonio Galloni,vinous.com)
