Tasting Notes
This youthful St.-Joseph is very stony, smoky and dusty in a positive sense and needs some aeration to show its true class. Austere and flinty on the focused, medium-bodied palate. Some graphite, too. Expresses the special personality of this appellation extremely well, and the very long finish has been beautifully crafted. Mostly from vineyards above Tournon, the rest above Mauves, all with stony granitic soil. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. (Stuart Pigott,jamessuckling.com,Jan. 7, 2025)
