Opaque ruby. Powerful red and dark berry and floral pastille scents, along with suggestions of licorice, vanilla and pipe tobacco. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering juicy black raspberry, cherry liqueur and mocha flavors sharpened by a jolt of zesty minerality. In a modern style, for sure, delivering solid closing thrust and smooth, well-knit tannins that lend shape and gentle grip to persistent, oakspiced berry preserve flavors. Drinking window: 2021-2028.
