Tasting Notes
Massal 1945 comes from Clos de Luz's oldest blocks in the Almahue Valley, planted in 1945, and is a very clear example of the variety in one of the most traditional areas for carmenere in Chile. The nose is pure notes of sweet peppers, the palate is full of red fruits, and the tannin texture is firm without being aggressive. A mouthwatering wine full of fruits that shows the carmenere bare, with no complexes, and offering all its herbal side. [Drink through 2033+.] Score - 94. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2025)
