Hospices de Beaune Cuvée Madeleine Collignon Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru 2014
$3544.00
Tasting Notes
This wine comes from a plot in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, with nearly 60% of the vines planted in 1947. The wine is crafted by Louis-Michel Liger-Belair, whose ancestors joined the Marey family in 1852 to create the wines of C. Marey et Comte Liger-Belair. It's a powerful, ripe, rich expression with compact fruit, but there's a purity and precision here that is simply breathtaking. A superb wine that can be enjoyed now in its relative youth, but one that has decades ahead of it.
