Tasting Notes

The Paitin 2020 Barbaresco Faset (with only 3,045 bottles made) shows noticeable power and concentration that reflects the sunny warmth and high temperatures of this vintage. Vineyards in Barbaresco fared well, offering darker wines for sure, but with intact perfumes that are not weighed down by over-ripeness. Ultimately, the vintage character comes off as more accessible, maybe a little softer and more fruit-forward. Black cherry segues to earth, rust and licorice. Drink date: 2024-2038.
