Tasting Notes
Medium gold-hued and based on 55% Roussanne, 40% Viognier, and 5% Grenache aged 10 months on lees in 500-liter barrels, the 2024 Costières De Nîmes Lou Coucardié Blanc shows more stone fruits, brioche, mint, and some savory herbs and bitter almond notes. It's medium-bodied, has a nicely concentrated, tight, focused mouthfeel, beautifully integrated acidity, and outstanding length. Clearly an outstanding wine that blossoms with air, it needs another year or two in bottle and will drink beautifully over the following decade. Drink date: 2026-2035.
