Tasting Notes

The 2023 Doisy-Védrines doesn't quite deliver the complexity of the Doisy-Daëne on the nose, though it opens nicely with aeration to reveal lemon sherbet, saffron and light tangerine aromas. It is not as immediate as other Sauternes in this vintage, but it does exude elegance. The palate is well balanced with a very pure, tensile opening. This seems to be a less fat Doisy-Védrines compared to other vintages, possessing a fine bead of acidity. It's lightly spiced with a tang of marmalade and quince toward the finish.
