Tasting Notes

The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru is matured in 30% new oak with 40% whole bunches. This is much more backward and surly on the nose than the preceding Fuées, offering blackberry, cranberry, wild hedgerow and touches of forest floor. The palate is medium-bodied with firm structure. Good grip here, fresh and sapid with a briny finish that gets the saliva flowing. Cellar this whilst drinking the Fuées. Drinking window:2030-2055. (Neal Martin,vinous.com,Jan. 11, 2024)
