Tasting Notes

Black cherries, game, smoke, tobacco, licorice and leather are some of the many notes thatemerge from the estate's 2010 Chianti Classico Riserva. Dark and brooding in its expressionof Sangiovese, the Riserva is all about power, density and structure. I imagine that as thewine ages the more animal dimensions of Sangiovese will take on greater prominence, butthere is little question the 2010 is a wine of real character. Drinking window: 2015-2025.
