Tasting Notes
While known for its Santorini origin, the Assyrtiko grape is actually cultivated all throughout Greece. The variety is particularly prized for creating crisp, expressive wines with a wonderful ability to convey the mineral nuances of the soil; this wine evokes wet river stones and volcanic rock, with lovely jasmine, passion fruit and lemon adding even further intrigue. Sip with lemon chicken or fried calamari.
